Does anyone else agree on the movement of green energy is simple ignorance?
Anyone with half a brain knows what are the limits of our environment puts upon us, and on the basis of a lot of new "green" technologies (such as hydrogen – Give me a break!) I fear for the future (> 100 years) who have lost millions and millions of dollars in taxes the government on projects that are thinking more or less pious … need electricity (nuclear, coal) to run the future. Like it or not, fuel fiossil not much longer (not talking about liquid coal) – whether to start jump for joy – the world changed forever, people do not realize that economic power and how the consequences catostrophic. I'm for the environment environment, but people need to understand both sides of the issue, and I wish the media began to educate the public about what it means and how we can begin prepare for the future, instead of creating ignorance to a generation of "green" – Keep your head in the sand for the kids!
I share your disappointment with the media, who have scratched the surface of the energy options available. Most of his stories end up being limited by the perspective of journalist which has its own agenda. There is certainly a role for renewable sources like wind and solar energy into electrical energy. But there will always be a need of pure power supplied by the internal combustion engine, like it or not. This would open the Atlantic continental shelf to oil drilling, the sooner the better, for economic reasons, how much money are we willing to send to countries who hate us?
