Does anyone here have experience in managing databases of addresses?

I started a nonprofit organization and have a lot of emails and email Addys interested. Currently, they are all stored in Yahoo, but Yahoo me! Do not allow to send a newsletter to more than a handful of people at once because of spam concerns.
