Do you think that search engines are good? Why isnt there more encryption technology on the web?

As time goes on, it seems that there is awful lot of data mining going on with email, chat on the net, and site visits. An example is creepy gmail.
Are search engines being used for more than you think? Maybe in long term for profiling people.

Any time you put something out there fore people to see/read… people are going to see it. You can’t print a book or flyer and then complain about people reading it too much or quoting you on it.

If business people or organizations are worried about this, here is my suggestion….

Make a new .com call it whatever you want… (.prv, .buz… whatever) and have that be agreed to be “private” and not searchable or indexed.

Then sue the heck out of people who violate it.

But if you are going to use a dot com… expect that I’ll find it.
